Peter has continuously been at the forefront of innovation in the attractions business. He’s not just ahead of trends; he’s crafting the future of the industry. He has sold and managed the development of virtually every type of ride for amusement parks — often being the first to see into the future, conceiving new designs and manufacturing processes.
Drawing on more than 40 years in the amusement industry, Peter offers clients unparalleled knowledge of attraction design, manufacturing and installation. He pushes the envelope for engineering and manufacturing efficiencies in the marketplace and has a reputation for integrity, service and honesty.
Peter was President of Intamin, and built the most successful and largest rides company in the world.
He founded Premier Rides and introduced Linear Induction Motors (LIMS) to the industry. Before founding CAVU, he served as President of Dynamic Attractions where he developed 10 new products and grew sales from 0 to over US$200 million in less than 3 years.
Now, as CEO of CAVU Designwerks, his latest, revolutionary innovations are soon to debut.
Daryl White brings years of experience designing and managing complex engineering systems. A mechanical engineer by training, Daryl is an active member of the ASTM F24 standards committee with a detailed knowledge of the requirements needed to make the safest attractions possible.
Prior to joining CAVU, he served as Director of Engineering, Director of the Parts and Service Division of Dynamic Attractions and also held the position of Director of Special Projects where he was responsible for Product Innovation, Reliability, Logistics, Evaluation Measurements, Optimization Methods and Risk Management.
Daryl is responsible for CAVU operations, including oversight of the design, and development and execution of all attraction engineering systems.
Ken Yao founded his own public accounting office in 2014. Ken brings extensive experience in providing finance, tax, and accounting expertise for start-ups to medium-sized enterprises and corporate groups. He was previously the external finance advisor for one of the largest companies in British Columbia and also contributed to the financial success of a number of Victoria based high-tech engineering and manufacturing companies.
Prior to joining CAVU, Harold Hudson spent more than 21 years with Six Flags Theme Parks as Executive VP of Engineering and Development. He has extensive knowledge in Ride and Attractions Development, Theme Park Development and Park Operations, preparation of overall Capital Plans, evaluating Ride Systems and Ride Manufacturers.
Harold was a founding member of the ASTM F24 Standards Committee and serves on several industry Standards and Safety Commissions and Panels where his knowledge of Technical Safety Issues often leads to industry change. He has been a leading advocate of systems that accommodate disabled guests. Valued as a consultant, Harold conducts independent Value Engineering Reviews and he is often called as a safety and expert witness in high level legal proceedings after complicated incidents in our industry.
Harold generates Technical Performance Specifications for CAVU’s attraction systems, and oversees the company’s important Testing and Commissioning Procedures and Operations and Maintenance Systems.
David brings almost 40 years of experience in construction project management of ride/show, retail and facilities construction for the leisure and entertainment industry. His professional expertise includes ride design development, construction, testing and operations.
David was instrumentally involved with multiple major projects at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Singapore and Paramount Parks. One of his projects was the TEA Award-winning “Transformers the Ride 3D” at Universal Studios Singapore, which is owned by the Genting Group.
Francine has more than 30 years of corporate marketing experience. She began her marketing career with Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company. She was responsible for developing corporate marketing strategies and title specific marketing plans in all markets, including consumer, trade, institutional and special markets. She was recruited to several additional marketing positions within the publishing field, including tenure as Director of Educational Marketing with Simon and Schuster, NY. Francine then transitioned into the Amusement Industry in 2009. Most recently, as Director of Marketing for Dynamic Attractions, Ltd. she developed the company’s marketing strategy, corporate branding, product positioning, all sales support materials, as well as executing the company’s launch at and participation in three annual international trade shows.
Before joining CAVU, Han Xiao worked with Procter & Gamble. She has over ten years of operations management experience, and managed a number of complex projects involving cross border collaboration, government engagement, event organization etc. Her experience with a consumer goods company brings extensive knowledge of customer behaviour and brand building strategies, which are valuable assets for CAVU’s amusement business. Han Xiao oversees CAVU’s overall operations to ensure the company’s organizational efficiency. In this capacity, she directly supports the CEO and organizes the company’s sales efforts in Asia.
